This is the class that will save your life, and if you plan on, or are currently carrying a gun for protection, this class is a must. This is a one-day class that will teach students the following: Firearm Safety (Mandatory), Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset, Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, Firearm Cleaning, and Sport Shooting and Training Activities. Students will receive reference books, take a NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor. Students are responsible for bringing a firearm, good holster, 3 magazines, cover garment, and 150-200 rounds. Students are encouraged to use their everyday carry gear in order to learn and practice the life-saving skills with the tools that they use in their real-lives everyday. Students can barrow our gear even though using one's own gear is highly recommended. This class also qualifies students so that they can apply for pistol permits or licenses in various states.
